SAKKARA LANGUAGE SCHOOL- IGCSE

Sakkara Language School in Maadi has been offering IGCSE O-Level and A-Level subjects for high school students starting year 10 since the year 2000. Our students have been repeatedly recognized by the British Council and have received several academic achievement awards through our years of operation. Our students have made us very proud with their outstanding academic performance in various Subjects. 

  • The candidate is expected to complete the British IGCSE system in two to three years right after he / she is done with Grade 9 or its equivalent from any educational system.

 

  • IGCSE stands for international General Certificate of Secondary Education. It is a British International curriculum introduced by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations syndicate, Pearson Edexcel, and Oxford AQA. IGCSE covers a broad range of subjects including Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, Humanities, etc.

     

  • IGCSE examinations are held twice per year. Students sit for exams that are organized and supervised by the British Council in May / June and October/ November. Students may retake exams in November or June to improve their grades. Students are required to complete their Subjects/University requirements in 5 consecutive trials(sessions). If the student sits for a 6th session, the 1st session is cancelled.

 

  • Some Universities accept students who have completed their requirements after two years only, i.e., Students have the option of completing University requirements in 4 sessions (2 years)

     

  • The IGCSE examinations are set by the syndicate and taken by candidates at recognized syndicate examination centers throughout the world. Answer scripts are returned to the syndicate for marking by syndicate examiners in the United- Kingdom. Results and certificates are forwarded to the principals and coordinators of the centers (schools) for distribution to candidates.

     

  • IGCSE subjects are accepted and recognized by universities and colleges worldwide.
